Past Indefinite Tense grammar ka ek important tense hai. Jo kisi aisi kriya ke liye use hota hai jo bhutkal me ho chuki hai. Is tense me hum batate hain ki koi kaam kab hua ya ek action jo past me poora ho gaya.

Examples:
• She watched a movie last night.
• They played football in the park.
• I visited my uncle yesterday.
• He studied for the exam.

In sabhi sentences me action ho chuka hai.

Is tense ko Simple Past Tense bhi kaha jata hai. Yeh tense use hota hai jab koi action ya incident bhutkal me hua ho aur khatam ho gaya ho.

• She cooked food last night.
• They visited the zoo last Sunday.

Har sentence me ek completed past action hai.

“Did” sab subjects ke saath use hota hai. “Did” ke baad verb ka first form aata hai.

Negative form me “did not” lagta hai aur verb ka first form use hota hai.

Rules of Past Indefinite Tense

  • Verb ka second form use hota hai (affirmative me).
  • Negative aur question sentences me “did” lagta hai aur verb ka first form use hota hai.
  • “Did” sab subjects ke saath same rehta hai.
  • “Yesterday”, “last night”, “ago”, “before”, “in 2005” jaise words aksar is tense me use hote hain.
